DEVIN'S BIO COMING SOON!
Emily Clark is what you’d picture when it comes to a plain jane. Brown hair, brown eyes, quiet but social, athletic, and gets average grades.
This is her first year doing Journalism as a Sophomore at West Jefferson High school, and when it comes to her first year of doing journalism she has to say.. This is quite the opposite of what she was expecting. She joined journalism in hopes of sharing her own words in the only way she knew how. Writing!
Emily plans on attending college when she graduates from high school, earning her RNA at Columbus State, then going to OSU to become a neonatal nurse. Her backup plan if she ever needs one is to become an English teacher (after her favorite freshman english teacher and current journalism teacher).
She loves reading and writing in her free time and is currently obsessed the hit crime show Criminal Minds. She is a full-time vegetarian and and her best friends are her dogs and her first friend she made here (Camryn Justus). She also participates in Marching band, basketball, and track (once all of this covid shenanigans is over).

Lauren Humphries is a first-year journalist. She enjoys playing soccer with her friends in the fall. Her hero is Megan Rapinoe, Women’s National USA soccer player. She likes to read realistic fiction novels or play video games in her spare time. She is the owner of two dogs and two cats. She works at Cane’s with her sister who is also named Lauren. Her favorite Starbucks drink is the Caramel Ribbon Frappe.

AJ Hymiller isn’t like your typical townie. He’s not about the country, therefore you’ll see him all around.
In AJ’s spare time, you can find him cheering on the sidelines for football and basketball, playing soccer as the player with the knee braces, and on the tennis courts. If he’s not playing sports, he is either at Ann and Tony’s working, hiking, or just procrastinating on all of his assignments. You can even see him drinking an iced coffee right after a run through the Metro Parks of Central Ohio. AJ is a part of the Jazz Band, musicals, and a former member of the Chamber Choir. If he’s not in the area, he is most likely traveling across the country and world with his family as he experiences new cultures around the world.
To be completely honest, he’s your all around surfer boy, with blonde hair, that loves the city and loves the beach, and if you see him around, say hi!

Harley Johnson is a new journalist even though it is her senior year, she is a huge procrastinator but on the low chance she doesn't procrastinate she celebrates by treating herself to an iced coffee from The Daily Buzz. If you cannot find her there she is most likely on the soccer field getting knocked in the head, at work making bank, or jamming out in her cars embarrassing herself in front of anyone she drives by. Occasionally you may find her at home doing her homework all night and sleeping in with her cat, Butterbutt, who owns half the bed and is evidence in a case of thievery. She is attempting to learn to cook and at the moment it is not going great, she loves to read and watch movies about romance where you can probably guess the happily ever after coming, and she loves to harass her siblings; Lillian, Isabella, and Jaxon.
Cory Ratcliff is an old timer in the Journalism class, this being his 3rd year. He’s previously been the Video Production Editor for WJBC.
You’ve seen Cory as an Anchor in WJBC and The 2019 Homecoming Red Carpet. Cory’s also been the cameraman for such hits as 73 Questions: Mrs. Gravlin and Mr. Ruane Takes On The Big Mama's Mega Mama Burrito. His awards include: 2010 WJYAA Soccer Participation Award and that’s it. He’s mastered the art of reviewing, to prove it his first review, Disney’s new take on Winnie the Pooh, was written without even watching the movie, Ms. Henry, that's my only confession. Cory was also crew for Beauty and The Beast, The Music Man, and Seussical: The Musical. He’s made cameos in The Music Man as Running Man #3 and Seussical: The Musical as Whoalicious. Cory is also the author of this highly acclaimed Mac That Easy.
Cory still has no clue what the heck he wants to do after High School, he’s just going with the flow.
