Grace Shields, of number four, Privet Drive, is proud to say that she is perfectly normal, thank you very much.
This is her second year on the RoughWriter staff, and she looks forward to continuing to follow her heart. Hufflepuff is her Hogwarts house, and she is no longer ashamed of that. She holds the record for most consecutive days without air conditioning in her car. Even without that luxury, she is still able to jam to twenty one pilots, Fall Out Boy, and an assortment of Broadway musicals.

Gabrielle “Gabbie” King isn’t your typical Starbucks and hidden coffee shop-loving girl… Oh, who am I kidding? She most definitely is!
In her spare time, Gabbie can be found either downing an Iced Caramel Macchiato or knocking down three’s on the basketball court, also known as her second home. She absolutely loves basketball and even looks to further her basketball career to the collegiate level in the future.
You may even find her listening to music a lot. Her mix often consists of random varieties including Fleetwood Mac, George Michael, Wham!, Queen, and even calm, indie, jazz, coffee shop music… totally not a mouthful right there.
To be completely honest, she’s your typical artsy, small cafe and rain-loving future author and journalist….minus the reading glasses...with a basketball!

Kora Huber is a coffee addicted, procrastinating perfectionist, that is notorious for being hard on herself. She hates pity and can usually give the perfect advice to anyone with an issue. When she’s not limping down the hallway, due to an injury, you can see her: reading cliché books, listening to any type of music, except for country, trying every Starbucks tea combination, and supporting her softball family, on and off the field. She’s obsessed with the number three, has been a part of the softball team for three years, and was the left fielder for the Final Four team in the 2019 season.

Social Media Manager

He refers to himself as a country-bumpkin rap star because of his interesting music choice. He is your typical romantic who likes long car rides listening to music at dusk with his friends. He is an OG on the Roughwriter staff. His favorite candy is the red starburst gummies.

He loves long car rides at night listening to country music and just sitting outside by a fire and chilling with family and friends. His favorite TV show is The Walking Dead. His favorite rapper is either Lil Uzi Vert or Post Malone. His dad died last year and his mom comes and see him and hangout with him once in awhile and he has a big soft spot in his heart for everyone.

Merrick Crawford is finally a senior. A dedicated cheerleader looking to switch things up. When she’s not focused on her studies, you can find her cuddled up with one of her cats or coaching the D2 cheerleaders. Her go-to food would be either one of the two choices, queso and strawberry cheesecake.

Dakota Dodds is very short, especially for a freshmen
He has been in Choir 4 years--1 in Concert and 3 in Chamber.
He and Ian could be found eating things such as Satan's Toe" or the hottest peanut in the world in Rider Hour last year. When not in school, he can be found breaking Cory Ratcliff's ankle. He usually is looking for the best hotpot restaurant or studying politics. This is his first year of Journalism. He's nice to be around and sometimes funny but most importantly very informed on everything he take on study wise. This is why he mainly focuses on the politics of things and focusing on numbers and cold-hard information. His goal is to lead a new wave of informed people and not blindly forming opinions on any topic.

Daisy Green just became a member of the Roughrider staff.
She enjoys to be comfy and read or watch movies with her family. She has a dog that she adores and when she's not cuddling with Nala she is getting ready for cheer practice. She is very shy but loves the vibe of cheering on her peers while standing on the sidelines of Friday night football. You can find more about her on Instagram @daisygreen04.
