The Mock Trial team has been a prominent and very successful part of the High School history, so it seems only right to keep everyone informed and up to date on the team and their progress through this year’s competition.

Starting this year off with much enthusiasm, Mrs. Siddiqi was more than happy to share her thoughts and prospects in the upcoming year. She expressed that she’s excited about the team she has this year, some members from years past, and some new fresh faces.

This year’s case promises to be interesting and relatable to the Mock Trial crew. It involves a student who sues his High School Principal after they chose to punish said student for causing a disruption in the school after the student held a “pro-gun” rally after school in a park. The rally was a hot topic of debate and caused a food fight in the cafeteria, of which the principal chose to take action against. This a case of Free Speech and the team seems to be very excited about taking it on.

The team has its first scrimmage on November 17 against CSG and roles have been assigned. Everyone is really anticipating this year so be sure to give all your Mock Trial friends the best of luck and show your support.
