Last month on September 18, 2019, the new season of American Horror Story came out, 1984. Fans were waiting patiently for what Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck had come up with this time. American Horror Story is a popular TV show that has been airing on FX since October 5, 2011.
1984, is heavily influenced by the combination of Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Halloween to make what would seem like a very gory show. Mr. Murphy was impressed and inspired by a fan-made concept created by a man named, Corey Vega. The new season consists of nine episodes, but originally called for ten episodes. There are nine main characters for this season, some who have been in other seasons and others who are completely new to the American Horror Story scene.
It takes place at Camp Redwood where there is a violent history from Mr. Jingles, a main character who is an escaped convict and murderer who collects his victim’s ears. To some fans disappointment, the famously known actor, Evan Peters who has been in every season of AHS is not present in this season. “I’m gonna sit a season out.”, he said while he was being asked about his involvement in the AHS world. A chance of him returning for upcoming seasons could be most likely. There is talk already about a tenth season coming out in the year 2020. The witches that appear in the seasons the Coven and Apocalypse are rumored to show back up in the new seasons.
It is not on Netflix yet, but you are able to get caught up on the previous season’s episodes if you have not watched them yet or you can go watch the eighth season, Apocalypse. You can catch the next episode on FX on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 10 pm.
